Requirements
The first step in the admissions process for the PhD in Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Sciences program is to ensure you are on track to complete the requirements in time to apply prior to be submission deadline.
- The Fall 2025 admission application will open in September 2024.
- The application submission deadline is December 15, 2024.
- All required application material must be submitted by December 15, 2024.
Application Requirements
A Bachelor鈥檚 degree in biology, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related scientific area
Bachelor鈥檚 degree must be obtained from a regionally accredited U.S. institution.
Official Transcripts
Official Transcripts are required from all institutions attended.
Personal Statement
Using 500 words or less you will describe (1) your educational background, (2) your areas of interest in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences, and (3) additional information that would strengthen the application, such as achievements or overcoming adversity.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Three letters of recommendations
Admission tests, such as the GRE, MCAT or DAT are not required. However, applicants may submit their scores if they wish.
International Applicants
We are in the process of certifying the PhD-BPS program with SEVIS to gain approval to consider international applicants. Presently, we cannot consider international applications. Please check back for updates.
